For some reason my BP_Blocks do not change color, I have the same construction script & I changed the public color just like you but they stay white. Why do you think this is?

This is an actual good tutorial but the thing is u make everything easier if people pay for it i mean there is so many free tutorials which cover like everything or u can just go buy a course for 100$ it covers everything and plus u get alot of assests objects etc…
But ur unreal engine landscape and those things helped me quite a bit u also forced me to learn blender which i feel is really usefull

Hey I have a question, my paddle and the ball eventually slows down to the point they are unusable. They have the no friction material and everything, how could I fix that? Thanks!

I figured something out! All the lessons in this tutorial aren´t meant to be used exactly as they are shown. Each lesson is meant to teach you how to use it for your own game. As an example, the ball spawning next to the paddle is a gateway to having your NPCs spawn an item for you. Please correct me if I´m wrong.

Hi! Quick question: I don´t understand how you where supposed to follow the lock rotation of ball part. I have no experience in programming, so dividing axis and all the repeating velocity nodes made no sense to me. Please help

Loving the videos, though I think the workbook material might be a little out of date. I tried to import a mesh and it wouldn't let me. More importantly, my software crashes every couple of minutes. Incredibly annoying. How do I fix this? I have a high end computer with completely updated drivers. I've tried every possible fix online. Nothing is working.

I subscribe, please make more tutorials, that are both basic, but use different things, maybe next time when textures, you focus on normal maps, and some nice features there, then a slightly different way to control the ball, so you make a similar game, but show some slightly different ways, of making a simple game, maybe a tennis game . . . Or, a pinball game <3

Thanks for this fantastic video Shane! I'm very new to UE4 so I appreciate the walk-through. After following along I seem to be stuck on step 29 where you set up the destruction of the castle pieces to be more controlled (3:32:00). After following this step, when my blueprint wall is hit and gravity is enabled and collision responses are updated, the wall falls right through the ground. I cannot fathom why this is. I've checked that the ground has a collider on it, I've positioned my walls above the ground (even way above to be absolutely certain). I've double-checked that the collision response are getting updated. I even break-pointed in the blueprint to make sure we're hitting that OnComponentFracture logic. It all appears to be working, but it never fails that the destructible wall blueprint just falls through the ground. It still fractures and breaks and gets killed after the time I specified, but it just completely ignores collision. This has stumped me for long enough, so I thought I would bring it here just in case anyone else is following this video and experiences the same thing. I would love to get some thoughts on this matter.

Appreciate these videos. Keep up the good work!

I also encountered the problem that on 3:32:00 my "Set Collision Response to Channel" won't work in the Event Graph of BP_Block_Wall, but the change of gravity worked correctly. This results in the blocks falling through the ground. The only thing I can do is to change the Collision Response Preset in BP_Block_Wall's viewport. I beg someone could have a solution on that?
